About Lynn…

Growing up in an Asian immigrant family, mental health has always been a taboo topic. I found myself stuck and out of control when trying to deal with difficult emotions while also navigating my duties and expectations as a “reliable” daughter. It didn’t help that my family was riddled with unaddressed intergenerational trauma. Out of a desperation for relief, I found the courage to seek my own therapy.

Initially, it felt like I was going against my family and myself for not being able to handle my emotions and mental health on my own. “Am I just weak?”

However, the decision to begin therapy was a transformative experience that empowered me to grow insights and skills to address and process my feelings. Such transformative decision helped me to realize the need for greater normalization and acceptance in talking about our struggles, which led me to ultimately become a licensed marriage and family therapist.

In a world that is constantly busy and demanding, it may seem like you’re alone in dealing with your own struggles.

Yet, the journey to finding relief and understanding does not have be done alone.

I encourage you to take the first steps in your journey toward growth and empowerment by scheduling a consult and/or engaging with the available resources.
